  The latest issue of Dynamite's new Space Ghost is out and it's another awesome ride! Writer David Pepose, artist Jonathan Lau, colorist Andrew Dalhouse, and letterer Taylor Esposito have done it again, delivering an action-packed issue that explores the iconic hero's past and present. Space Ghost #2 explores Space Ghost's motivations, revealing poignant flashbacks that showcase his family before they were murdered. These heartwrenching moments make his current solitary crusade and his interactoins with Jan, Jace, & Blip all the more poignant. Pepose's script adds layers of emotional depth to Space Ghost's character. We see a more vulnerable side of the hero, struggling with his past and his desire to save innocent lives. Pepose continues to expertly develop the relationships between our main characters, making their interactions feel authentic. The conversations between Space Ghost, Jan, and Jace range from tense to humorous to heartwarming, just as any "traditional" family's dynamics would be. The banter between this unlikely trio is so real and adds a welcome layer of humanity to the story. I appreciate that Pepose didn't try to drag out this early phase of their relationship as we see the three humans reach an exciting new reality by the issue's end. I'm particularly impressed with Jan's development over the course of the issue. She is becoming a captivating focal point to the story and I'm looking forward to seeing her continued growth. Outside the character work, Pepose's script also includes a thrilling action sequence as our characters learn to work together as they take down a giant, energy space monster that's wreaking havoc. Lau's artwork adds is stunning, with dynamic panels that brings this space battles to life. Andrew Dalhouse's colors are equally impressive, adding depth and vibrancy to the pages. These high-octane action scenes are intense and well-choreographed all around, making them a captivating ride from start to finish. Space Ghost #2 is a must-read for fans who enjoyed the first issue and a clear indication that anyone who missed the series' debut should hop on board now. The creative team has done an excellent job of balancing action, humor, and heart, making this series a standout after just two issues. Don't miss out on this fantastic space adventure! more
