    Ultimately, what Gage and Costa have already accomplished in the early stages of G.I. Joe: Cobra is to prove that it's more than possible to tell an adult-oriented Joe tale without sacrificing its patented blend of fun and nostalgia. Their story is smart and realistic, yet it also has a clear message - creating what hopefully will become the blueprint for the franchise moving forward. This book is every bit as good as some of the best independent spy titles, providing a story that should prove entertaining enough, even to those less than enamored with the current G.I.
