Oct 21, 2014This is a 48-page one-shot. It may be that Dynamite is looking at launching THE CHOSEN as a series. It is hard to know for sure, but based on CHAOS and this one-shot, they have a good chance at having a winner here. THE CHOSEN deserves a chance to make it as a magazine. It belongs in that rarified air with the rest of the revived CHAOS universe, as well as HACK/SLASH and other titles. Read Full Review

Oct 21, 2014Filled with stock characters and a premise that is very recognizable, The Chosen does manage to engage with its self-aware humor and its very colourful action. Read Full Review

Oct 23, 2014Overall this comic is pretty forgettable. Maybe if the second story was the entire thing and given time to breath instead of having a sudden ending there could be some hope. But instead it has decent build then a quick finish that actually makes half of the characters seem like complete morons to create a false sense of drama. Read Full Review

This was just flat-out bad! I would have expected this one-shot to be a prequel to the Chaos! series, seeing as The Chosen came out of nowhere and we had no idea who they were and why they were fighting. An origin of each character might have been good here. With forgettable characters, who cares about their story? FAIL
