Sep 08, 2026Unico’s bravery and altruism are inspiring. There’s an undercurrent of frenetic energy due to the many layers of antagonists Sattin has laid and the plethora of “traps” for Unico, so readers may end up speeding through the pages to make sure he solves everything in time before the bad guys catch up with him. Gurihiru's illustrations are gorgeous -- the colors are beautiful, and there are some interesting panel layouts that keep every page fresh. Page turns are utilized to capitalize on some few surprises and reveals. Even though Unico journeys to new places and meets new people, there are hints that the third volume will reunite some familiar faces. Read Full Review
