In a second story, the X-Files team of the 1940s-Bing Ellington and Millie Ohio from the Year Zero miniseries-investigate a potential Communist saboteur, but discover an impossible creature-a gremlin!

    Overall, a fitting Christmas special, in print, on TV , anywhere as it perfectly captures the fact that life goes on and so does Christmas. The story by Joe Harris stretches the boundaries of imagination, as I can only expect some of these things would be too expensive to put on TV. The art by Mathew Dow Smith is beautiful and at times reminds me of cubism. Altogether, a fun effort by all involved which reminds us that entire home is where the heart is. Read Full Review

    The X-Files always thrived on mystery and the unknown, so in this sense the first comic of the new series remains in familiar territory, only serving to make the reader guess what is to come. Certainly the forthcoming revived TV show will draw in many left in suspense as to the fate of both agents, and as yet it's unclear to what extent the comic and the TV show will tie in. The story re-opens on a much-changed world " politically, socially and technologically " so it will be interesting to see how Mulder and Scully operate, and collaborate, in this unknown era. The challenges they will soon face are sure to be as strange (if not more) as ever before. Read Full Review

    So after a string of mediocre issues, Harris/Smith gift us with extra-long, extra-enjoyable issue. If that doesn't get you into the holiday spirit, then I don't know what will. Read Full Review
