Steve Niles consistently writes fine horror stories. His work on stories from 30 DAYS OF NIGHT, CRIMINAL MACABRE, ALIESTER ARCANE, and so many other fine titles has raised him above the pack. It is reasonable to think that soon he will be regarded much as we currently regard Alan Moore - as a living legend of the art form. One of the hallmarks of Niles' work is that even in fantastic and/or nightmarish settings his characters retain a deep humanity. Even in a worls of zombies and war-bots, Rosemary and Bot-Bot are real personalities. They are not cardboard cut-out tropes; they have real depth and humanity " even the robot. Read Full Review
