Rebuilding a brand-even one as ubiquitous as Blood Squad Seven-has its challenges. For one thing, even superheroes aren't perfect. What happens when that imperfection slips through the cracks? What sacrifices is this new team willing to make? Plus, a flashback to 1992-guest-starring the original Savage Dragon!
Blood Squad Seven isn't without merit, especially for readers with both a familiarity and appreciation for early Image Comics history, with cameos, humor, and action that pay homage to this era with some updated sensibilities. But the underlying premise of yet another take on Youngblood filled with gore-laden violence and bad attitudes offers little to enjoy beyond recognition. Read Full Review
