    Stejpan Šejić’s new entry into “Death Vigil” is undoubtedly a risky one, but it more than paid off. In a great gateway into the series, Šejić managed to reintroduce these great characters to readers new and old in an utterly fantastic and fun first issue.     Whether he’s drawing notoriously detailed erotica, dark urban fantasy, or some mix of the two, Stjepan Šejic’s artwork is one of a kind. Gruesome, painterly, and full of clashing colors, Death Vigil is one of Šejic’s best outings. The characters are each quirky and unique, with memorable traits and visually interesting gothic designs. Issue #1 is both a good jumping-on point for new readers and a great point of return for those who read the previous volume a decade ago. Alternatively, the trade paperback for the eight-issue first volume was reprinted last year and is quite accessible for those who are interested. Read Full Review

    This is supernatural fantasy with personality, horror with heart, and action that knows comics are supposed to look freaking COOL once in a while. Šejić doesn’t come back quietly. He kicks open the crypt, wakes everybody up, throws the engine into gear, and sends this monster screaming back onto the highway.
