One of the things I enjoy most about Pretty Deadly (apart from, you know, *everything*), is the extras at the end of each issue. Issue #4 has a fantastic article about Lotte Reiniger (yes, I know I always talk about here down here, but her style is such an integral part of this book that it can't be ignored,) and how she became an animator and developed her own methods for capturing her stories, and I encourage all of you to read it because it's FASCINATING! Pretty Deadly: The Rat is becoming the most cohesive addition to the series. The partnership and mystery have been interesting from the start and appear to be wrapping up in the perfect manner. This next beat of their journey adds to the atmosphere and sets up some interesting things. DeConnick’s poetic sensibility has filled this issue, and the entire series, with great ideas. With the finale on the horizon, It will be interesting to discover the answers and see what glimpses we get of the future. Read Full Review
