"BREAKING DARK," Part Four
Jackie Estacado has made a lot of enemies, but he has no idea how powerful the gangster Balakov has become. Without the Darkness at his command, will Jackie be able to protect his family? DAVID HINE (THE DARKNESS: FOUR HORSEMEN, THE BULLETPROOF COFFIN) and JEREMY HAUN (ARTIFACTS, Detective Comics) conclude their second story arc that will question everything you think you know about the Top Cow universe.

Geeks Unleashed - Jo Lewis Jan 2, 2013

The goings-on in this title were a bold creative move for a character who was introduced more than 15 years ago, particularly in an era of reboots by both DC and Marvel. The creative team and the publisher deserve recognition for this. One of my favourite monthlies, which is why its classified as REQUIRED READING. Read Full Review

Comic Booked - Emma Kathryn Jan 4, 2013

All in all, The Darkness #109 is an important chapter in the “Breaking Dark” story. It sees Jackie having to pay for his earlier choices and it ends on a really sweet cliffhanger. Hine's short story is a real winner and worth collecting the previous three issues in order to read them all together. A very good comic and another success in Top Cow's continuing Rebirth. Can't wait for the conclusion in The Darkness #110. Read Full Review
