CrazyJo must lead Scimitar-3 alongside two other Forged teams into T-space on a mission that spells genocide for the Phobes, while the KIA-listed Vic finds herself face to face with an old frenemy. On Throneworld, Davian enters an uneasy alliance with a Cassandra, but will their alliance reveal the Empress's true agenda, or is it just part of a longer game?
As much as there is going into a single issue of this series, it feels very incomplete. This is the nature of a serial to be sure. However, hey 60 page issue should feel more weight than this. it seems like the whole thing could be edited down or put into a family of related comic books all taking place in the same timeline or whatever. What's impressive is how a shift in perspective is reinforced across multiple layers of the story as battles afar and on the home front are impacted with each conversation seeming almost as impactful as the heavy metal combat featured throughout. I suppose I am a bit biased as I have a strong admiration for athletic and muscular women. But this is a fantastic series. Exciting, thought provoking and fun. I am hoping that this series has a very long run.
