Theres a lot going on in this story. Plenty of names and plots to follow. However, using Anna as a proxy for the readers experience was a very smart decision by Llovet. We get to experience and learn everything about this world with the character of Anna. Accordingly, this story is currently an exciting messy ball of yarn and Llovets job is to unravel it one issue at a time. It is in my assessment that Llovet is doing a fine job! Read Full Review
There is still quite a bit of opportunity for everything to develop in a way that could be truly interesting. As it is, however,Llovet isnt doing enough with the concept to relieve register as much of anything outside of a relatively uninspired Anne Rice-inspired drama. Llovets style of visual rendering does continue to hold quite a bit of appeal that continues to keep the pages moving even if theres nothing on them that seems to be as engaging as it could be.
