Dec 26, 2022This story suffers from a classic case of tell-not-show. Most of the many years of Jaehwan and other Walkers going through the Tower are told in exposition. We are supposed to have emotional attachments to characters who don't make it, but for some of them, we learned of them pages before their demise. There could have been a LOT more to develop between these characters to make the emotional impact land effectively. Likewise, the reveal at the end has almost no impact on me because we didn't spend the time grinding with Jaehwan -- we were told he did it. Read Full Review
