Eliane prepares for another visit to the fairies, oblivious to the fact that the greater demon Baltur has turned her eyes toward the Fairy Woods after completing her conquest of Belkheim. As far as Eliane is concerned, her only problem is choosing who will accompany her on the trip this time-Ralph the Divine Beast or Douglas the Dragon-without hurting either of their feelings. After deftly accomplishing this task with some sound reasoning and a little appealing to Douglas's ego, she and Ralph are soon making good time across the peaceful countryside.
