After winning the Metropolitan Tournament, Tatara and Chinatsu are primed for the Sendai Grand Prix. Unfortunately, Tatara's accident at the Metropolitan has left him with some worrying symptoms. Upon receiying strict orders from Marisa, Tatara goes to see a doctor and receives a devastating diagnosis that makes participating in the Grand Prix an impossibility.
