While he holds Namor & Puck captive in his submarine, the Master tells them how he escaped death in his first meeting with Alpha Flight. He shows them Marrina in her savage state. Bochs recruits Jeffries to help him get revenge for Guardian's death. Wolverine comes to see Heather in the hospital. The Master shows Namor & Puck the Plodex he caught in Lake Ontario & lets it join Marrina. Puck escapes from his cylinder by pretending to be dead & frees Namor. They release Marrina & the monster, which damages the Master's submarine. After Namor carries Puck to the surface, he returns later to tell Puck that he was unable to find Marrina. After Namor leaves, she emerges from hiding, not wishing to see him. She feels that she is nothing more than a monster & no longer wants to see people, including Alpha Flight.
