Totally honest, I was pretty torn between giving this chapter 3 or 4-stars. Not much was done to really expand my interest in the bigger picture and the action scene wasn't all that stunning, especially when compared to what happened in the first issue. That said, the artwork is consistently good and creative, so even if the narrative isn't taking big steps, the impressive visuals make sure my eyes are glued to these pages and it has my complete attention. Also, I like how Henry, not Deathlok, is receiving a little more insight. It isn't anything major just yet, but Edomndson is making me care more and more about this new Deathlok and that makes me want to see where this path will take him. Admittedly, the big draw for some will be the appearance of Domino in the final pages and how she may end up involved in this as she's working for AIM at the moment as she has a working deal with them. Drawing her into what Hayes is involved in as Mustang could make for a pretty good action plot with her style and his precision, which is what will likely get me to come back for one more issue. But the price/value side just isn't working for me with the hooks that we've been given so far, though I'm generally liking the character and what he's doing and what the whole SHIELD angle may turn into. Edmonson is giving us a long game here with what's going on and I definitely want to support that, but it really needs just a bit more to make me excited for each new issue rather than just pleased to see a new one arrive. Overall there is a lot to expect from this series considering this is a new character being brought to life. This Deathlok has potential when there is depth to him that should be enough to care for him as a person and living weapon. Read Full Review
