(Cover Date: November, 1969) Summary: Strange gets an urgent summons from Kenneth Ward, the man who sponsored his medical education. Strange finds Ward under a spell, & he is unable to speak to him. After Strange counteracts the spell, Ward tells him of a small strange idol he brought home from a Himalayan valley. Ward's staff then reveal themselves to be demons who want the idol & who want Strange dead. Strange uses the morning's sunlight to vanquish the demons. Strange then finds that Ward has died.
