(Cover Date: September, 1987) Summary: Dr. Doom requests the use of Franklin to free his mother from Mephisto, but the FF refuse to give him up. Doom attacks them, & Franklin is kidnapped by a robot. The robot drops Franklin off with Doom. Johnny brings the deactivated robot back to HQ. After the FF head for Latveria, Kristoff (who thinks he's Doom) summons the robot to free him from his holding cell. The FF follow Kristoff past the security devices to get into Doom's castle, but they are reactivated when Kristoff detects them. Doom summons Mephisto with a magic spell & offers to exchange Franklin's soul for that of his mother. Kristoff interrupts them when he attacks Doom, thinking he is a fraud.
