Overall, it was a nice story. Art is super anime-like in some parts, but still good. I just don't understand some of the writer's decisions. Maybe even Peter David isn't flawless... Now I tell you why I can't rate it higher.

First of all, there was a confusing mistake in this issue. That girl with an apple said, that Gargoyle turned mr Caan to stone, but colorist for some reason didn't make him grey... Also... what was the point of all that? Grey Gargoyle can't turn things into stone permanently... Only for an hour. And why couldn't that guy just hire some sculptors to make a new arms for the statue? I also remember that girl to be glued, but somehow Grey Gargoyle quickly released an unglued her... Nice.

That Gargoyle is still have (had...) kinda weird codex. Make an innocent girl a statue and throw her for nothing? Nice! That's okay! Spidey will 100% catch her and she won't get damage at all. But make a woman's hands to stone and then get paid for that - NO!!! That's too evil!!! Yeah, the conclusion is bad too... It was first and the last appearance of the Grey Gargoyle of that universe, so he might be really dead... Also, imagine kidnap a famous woman and get away with that. What was that idiot Caan thinking? more
