Modok's synthoids are abducting the homeless in the Bowery to be used as test subjects for his experimental Virus X. When Ben interferes with an abduction, he is taken to Modok also. Namor is in the city & returns to the Bowery, where the Human Torch found him years ago. Namor agrees to help the people there find their missing friends. (Cover date: November, 1981)
