COUNTDOWN CONCLUSION Spidey & Doc Ock face off in a titanic, action-packed throw down! But will the wall-crawler be forced to disclose his true identity in order to preserve world peace?
A big disappointment from the normally dependable Paul Jenkins, as instead of a clever solution to the problem, he offers up one that I'd dismissed right from the start as being too obvious. I mean Spider-Mans big solution doesn't even make much sense when one thinks about it as last issue showed us Spider-Man pulled his mask off right when the clock struck noon, and while Doctor Octopus delivers a lengthy speech before pushing the button, the most time that he could've bought for the group that was rescuing the Ambassador is a couple minutes, and one would think that provoking Doctor Octopus in the middle of Times Square where there's a wealth of innocent bystanders he can lash out at seems like a silly idea. It's far from masterpiece and it's not a shit at all. That's a weird comic with a lot of arguable decisions. But it was interesting to read. Kinda... Well, it could be lower, than 7, could be higher, but I'm okay with it now.
