Jun 25, 2004Kaare Andrews is an artist whose work has greatly impressed me in the past, but there's also been times when his "style before storytelling" art has been a bit off-putting. Thankfully this is one of the former, as he turns in a solid issue that manages to capture the innocence of childhood, while projecting a genuine sense of looming danger, as we get a look at Otto's rather chilling imagination. The art also manages to capture Otto's progression from being a cowering child to a confident force when he finds his place in the scientific community. I also loved the final page image.
