What I find most interesting about Spider-Man & The Fantastic Four is that Parker crafts a believable world threat and mitigates his usual freewheeling wackiness seen in the Marvel Adventures line. In a sense, the story is dead serious. Parker however doesn't confuse the attitude of the story with the attitudes of the characters. The characters behave as themselves and adapt to what's presented in the story. They don't become slaves to the story. They don't drop years of characterization for the sake of the story. That's what makes Spider-Man & The Fantastic Four so entertaining. Read Full Review
