Summary: Back in the city, a military convoy leads Thor to a mystic funnel that Sif had disappeared within. Thor is grabbed by figures within the funnel & is pulled inside. Thor fights against the Mutates & sees that Sif is being held by their leader. Thor engages the human-hating Mutate leader in combat & drives him off to free Sif. They find themselves in a post-apocalyptic world where nuclear radiation changed men into Mutates. They see the City Atomic Research Center that was located where the funnel was at. They find Pluto outside, who tells them his time funnel was designed to capture Thor. He tells them that he found the Mutates in time & space & turned them into his allies. He created the time funnel to transport the research center into the future for its scientific secrets. Thor & Sif are struck down by a Mutate wielded Pluto-made weapon when Thor attempts to attack Pluto in response. Inside the building, lies the cocoon of Him (Adam Warlock). more
