Thor tries to live a peaceful life on Earth anew, but before he can begin, he is ambushed by the ferocious villain Mongoose! Good thing his Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man is around to lend a hand!

(Cover Date: May, 1988) Summary: Thor returns to his construction job as Sigurd Jarlson. He is immediately attacked by the Mongoose, who wants to kill him on behalf of his unknown employer. Thor is knocked off the skyscraper & rescued by the passing Spidey. Thor retrieves his hammer & teams up with Spidey to fight against the Mongoose. When they get the best of the Mongoose, the villain escapes by taking out a support column. Thor strains to hold the building up until Spidey can move in support girders. Thor flies architect Eric Masterson, who was injured by falling debris, to the hospital. Hogun is transported to Earth via the Grand Vizier's new device to get Thor, since Asgard is currently under attack by savage invaders.
