The actual mechanics of the plot are a bit overwrought, as Karla digs up Melissas estranged mother, knowing the way to her enemys vulnerability is through painful familial dysfunction. Things take very melodramatic and abrupt turns, but Gage succeeds for the most part in keeping the focus on the power struggle, and the denouement shows reserves of strength and wisdom springing from unexpected sources. It's a rather dull issue that tries to imitate a much better writer's interpretation of these characters and fails miserably with a lackluster reveal at the end. Unless you absolutely must have every single thing related to the new Thunderbolts, don't bother with this oneshot. Read Full Review
