Comic Bastards - Dustin Cabeal Sep 7, 2012

For only a dollar you can grab this book digitally and I have to say it’s more than worth it. The issue is only twelve pages long minus the cover and extras, but it gets in and out and remains entertaining for the entire issue. It’s an interesting formula and I’m curious to see how it pans out when it comes to the trade paper back. One thing is for sure that it may be ten pages shorter than the typical DC or Marvel book, but it’s also a third of the cost… makes you think doesn’t it. Check it out and for less than the price of a “Big Two” digital book you can buy both issues of this series. Read Full Review

Read Comic Books - Brad Wiegele Aug 28, 2012

The story isnt as simple as it may appear on the surface, there are subplots brewing for sure. Edisons sidekick/assistant Malizz keeps questioning why they havent just conquered the world yet and it can only be a matter of time until this pushes to confrontation. There is also the mysterious final page leading us to believe there is a much bigger story going on than just one mans longing for redemption. Edison Rex is a fun read and a fresh take on the superhero genre. Roberson keeps the tone light and there is plenty of action. If you love the glory of Silver Age and over the top characters with crazy names like Mutortoise, then you need to go drop .99 cents and check this title out. Read Full Review
