Courtney has chosen to stay with the Duchess in the Twilight Kingdom, but that won't stop Aloysius, who does everything in his power to get Courtney back. Unfortunately, the council has been less than honest regarding their intentions for Courtney... and for Aloysius as well.
I’m not sure if this is Naifeh’s “swan song” or not, but I’m curious to see where the story goes after this major story arc concludes. It’s hard for me to imagine that this intensity with the plot can continue forever, but if it did that would certainly be great for the readers. If you decide to pick this issue up as your first then you may end up a little lost, but it’s more than worth checking out. You better believe that we’ll have a review for the next issue because it’s going to be even better than this one. Read Full Review
"Courtney Crumrin" #9 continues to roar forward with its second mini-series to great effect; this is the sort of book that I'll cheerfully read more than once. If you aren't reading "Courtney Crumrin," please reconsider. A smart, funny, emotionally stirring, well-drawn comic like "Courtney Crumrin" doesn't come along often.
