The dark origins of the headless horseman, Giles Corey, are revealed and brothers Rick and Chris Winter are trapped in the middle of it. Rick makes both allies and enemies within the ranks of the Knights Templar, the religious zealots determined to destroy the horseman. Chris becomes an unwilling pawn of the headless horseman and struggles to preserve his humanity.
