Dec 24, 2021The introduction of witches in this volume add another layer of wonderful, mysterious magic to this already extremely rich world of fae and fantasy. The major drawback for me is, this is yet another volume with another punishment on Chise that costs her life or shortens it even more. There are so many things Chise does that shortens her life, so it's a wonder that she's still alive! Let's hope there can be some other consequences for the magic Chise performs in the future. This volume does leave on a cliffhanger where Chise has not fully decided what to do about the witches and her curse, so have Volume 9 ready to go for readers. Read Full Review
