Jul 25, 2026This first volume is full of set up with the relationship between Geppo and Subaru, establishing their history together and many bait-and-switch moments. Readers will think they have the men figured out but will be left constantly guessing. We meet several interesting side characters in the beginning that are left by the wayside, so hopefully they have a chance to resurface eventually as the narrative continues. The character designs and illustrations are beautiful, and this series has a particularly attractive cover that will draw readers in. Read Full Review
