Doctor Who returns with the comic debut of iconic 70s TV Villain!
After narrowly escaping the Weeping Angels and the Autons in 1960s London,
the Tenth and Thirteenth Doctor must team-up once again to save present-day Earth from being overrun by the classic aquatic villain, the Sea Devils!
Who else can they turn to for help but Rose Tyler: leader of the human resistance!
Whilst this opening part doesn't give too much away in terms of it's future, there is enough there to pique any ‘Whovians' interest. Bringing back both the Tyler family and the Sea Devils takes us on a journey to generations past and its a nice nostalgia trip to those of us who remember the 2005 reboot and the earlier adventures of Jon Pertwee's Doctor. Even though I feel like the story plays it too safe, this is a good comic that should entertain Doctor Who fans. I'm certainly going to be back for the second issue, and who knows, perhaps the series will end up surprising me. Read Full Review

Whilst Doctor Who #1 still feels in early set-up mode so a slow pace is only expected at this stage, it does enough to provoke audiences interest as the world-building is established efficiently as the stakes are made abundantly clear from the offset.
