  Ba ba ba ba Barbara! Part 3 and right off the bat we are stuck square in the middle of Action Alley without a power coupling and waves of creepy mutants storming the Tank Master (If you're confused then come on pick up or download issues 1 & 2!). Find out the mystery behind Barbara and what exactly what is in a Marsofu burger! This on going series is only on its third issue but the pace hasn't dwindled and before I knew it I was staring at yet another cliff hanger desperately wanting the next issue. The writing as always has the gang playing of each other perfectly. Tank Girl as we've come to expect is keeping everyone in line and the plot moving. Ok...I don't mean to make a habit of this but in the past I've mention Brett Parso n and his ability to distill a basic sound effect perfectly in the medium of words and typography...well...I'm going it again. How can you not marvel at Brett's skill. I mean how can you not love 'dinky dinky dink dink!' For the sound of a chain link fence? This sort of thing is subtle in comics but it's so easy to get wrong and that's what I love about Tank Girl comics. They get it right and not just the gorgeous visuals and the humour it's the little things like the pop culture references, nuggets of 70s/80s British children's tv, over the top glorious violence and of course the sound effects. I shouldn't have to convince anyone who's read issues 1 & 2 to read this but to those who haven't I suggest you catch up, you won't regret it. more
