Dec 15, 2025ATHENA: GODDESS OF THUNDER #1 is the work of creators who understand the pieces of superhero storytelling but haven't yet learned how to put them together in a way that makes you feel something beyond "okay, I see what you're doing here. This is a first issue that knows where it wants to go but hasn't figured out how to make the journey as compelling as it could be. Whether this team has the guts and growth potential to fix these problems in issue two remains to be seen, but we'll be watching. Read Full Review
