Apr 19, 2011Read all together without a four-year wait between the first and last issues, Battle Chasers reads surprisingly smoothly. Indeed it is a shame that the story couldn't be resolved in this collection but perhaps no resolution at all is better than a rushed, glib ending that would likely still have failed to satisfy after such a long wait. Still, what there is of the series is immensely enjoyable in it's own right. The price of this oversized hardcover may of course be prohibitive to some but hopefully will be successful enough to warrant reissues of the regular trades for those of us on a budget.
