As for story it isnt anything too taxing; think mean girls spliced with bake-off shows. The central friendship between our two protagonists and their rivalry with another local girl provides most of the meat of the storyline and it fits nice and snug into the established style. Despite its (sigh) sweetness, it is also a tongue in cheek crime thriller. And this I feel is a great way to just lift up the whimsy factor. Poppy and Cassia are the baker versions of Bonnie and Clyde, planning to bring down the world (of baking) with them. Its charming and fun, check it out. Read Full Review
