Unfortunately, the future ofDead for Hire seems to be up in the air. With a failed Kickstarter campaignthere hasn't been any news on whether or not the series plans to go ahead and continue anyways or if issue #1 was the most we'll get to see of Ike. I'm desperately hoping we get to see more, asDead for Hire has the potential to be a really great supernatural comic series. And I really, really want to know more about all these ghost rules. Dead for Hire is an interesting, cool comic with a good basis for a story and some great artwork. I liked the dark, snarky feel that Ike gave off and the overall feel of the story and am looking forward to following along with the mystery in upcoming issues. Read Full Review

Front Towards Gamer - Lido May 5, 2014

Dead For Hire is not a perfect comic, in fact I think one could say it's actually a pretty flawed one with serious pacing and characterization issues but it's also a promising comic with some very good ideas I'd like to see fleshed out. As I mentioned I like the portal thing and I'd like to see the comic get to a place where the title actually makes full sense instead of only partial sense (yes he's dead and yes he's an investigator for hire but no one hires him in this or hires him to die I guess.) So if you're looking for something in the realm of the semi-noir supernatural genre you could maybe do better than Dead For Hire but honestly nothing really comes to mind at the moment so I'd recommend it on that, hopefully issue 2 will smooth out the wrinkles and really amp up the creativity and originality.
