There is a little romantic under story going on with Malcolm and a girl from the area, but it is so quickly shot through, you feel that it's just a throw away story device. Small points that let the film down shouldn't take away from the overall joy of watching this future classic. It's a story about fitting in, about finding those friends who like what you like and who will have your back, and it's about the choices that you make. The mistakes that Malcolm makes could effect his life and ruin his future but he's smart enough to not allow that to happen. The film has a great soundtrack and is shot in a way that reminds me of Two Days in the Valley. You can't get a grasp on what is going to happen next, and that is a good thing, it's always a good thing to keep you guessing. It's also a fun movie that leaves you wanting more from some of the supporting players. I'll happily go back and watch this film again and again. Well worth your cinema money! Read Full Review
