Timothy Truman's art is spectacular. Hawken is an imposing character. Yeah, he might be skinny and old, but Truman's art makes him almost scary. Every line on his face, every tooth that's missing tells a story. He looks mean and it matches his disposition. Just seeing him makes him look like death. On the other hand, Sombre is grotesque. He literally looks like a zombie. We have two potentially supernatural characters bound to collide and neither are exactly wusses. As you flip through this book, every single panel showcases Truman's talents. From the main characters to the ghosts that haunt Hawken to the landscapes to even Hawken's canine companion, this is a really well drawn book and effective on every level. Read Full Review
