Comics: The Gathering - lucstclair
Jan 22, 2012This is a classic old school Iron Man story. Back in the day, Armor Wars was my first introduction to the world of Tony Stark & Iron Man and Ive been a fan ever since. Comics have evolved since the 80s with less thought bubbles, better hair styles (yes Tony had a perm), intricate plot lines, painted illustrations and a more modern approach to sex & violence.I'm not saying that the old stuff was bad, it was just different and for a15-year old kid, it was pure comic book magic. Written by David Michelinie (Amazing Spider-Man), Bob Layton and Barry Windsor-Smith. Illustrated by M.D Bright (Green Lantern : Emerald Dawn) and Barry Windsor-Smith (Weapon X).
