A Rock documentary like this should be full of insider knowledge, dirty secrets, and back biting interviews. What Lambert and Stamp does is basically read through the Rock and Roll History book that everyone has read and show interviews with old musicians that are trying to make peace with their past. If you don't know the story then this will open your eyes to the scene and times and give you some insight. If you do know the story then you'll find little to nothing here that is more than old rope. For me I know a few fans of The Who and that era of music that will be getting a copy of this film on DVD for birthdays and Christmas over the next few years, as I'm all out of ideas for them.
