  For a lot of readers I can see the interest in Manara Library vol.4 will be virtually academic - a chance to own a high quality copy of two significant graphic novels by one of Europe’s most accomplished comics creators - but I would also recommend it to anyone who’s look for something very different from what they might ordinarily be reading, especially if they want a comic which pushes at the boundaries of mainstream social acceptability. While the two stories each have their own flaws, they are also daring, inventive and undeniably thought provoking tales told by a master of the comics craft.
