Guglielmini's artwork helps set the noir tone with mobsters in suits, streets slick with rain, and every face dappled with shadows. The colors, on the other hand, do not match that tone. They are incredibly vibrant, and while that works in the scene of hell – which is an arid desert under an impossibly bright sun – it makes the tense sequences at night feel all wrong. The blues, purples, and reds pop where they should be subdued. Colors aside, the art style works great for Faerber's tale, which has set up a great premise for some intriguing stories.
