My own curiosity is dampened by the amount of team books I already read, and by a few of these character designs. Lugo has a bit more work ahead of him to ensure readers continue to flip the pages here. While the story ambles on a familiar path, the character designs don't feel as organic, and I find my interest struggling to stay focused. The biggest crux for new books is to design something readers will accept and enjoy.
