I may not have been the prime demographic that this was intended for, but I couldn’t help but enjoy it. It reminded me of how comics used to be in which the hero’s journey was more important than what was damaged by them. I loved that Coco just shows up and kicks ass and there wasn’t a single law enforcement person to tell her, “No, you can’t do that.” She just saves the day and heads to school and that was cool with me because we could all use a break from the serious nature that comic books have become.
