El Sueño, Texas is a town divided, split in two by a massive crack that appeared without warning. Only teenager Avery Lee Olmos knows that something hungry lurks within the fissure, devouring the town alive. Pregnant, frightened, alone, she must find a way to convince the remaining townsfolk to shine a light into the darkness.
