Stuck on a mining platform whizzing through space, the XXX-plorers are attacked by a whole bunch of characters we were only able to put in the book because we're calling this a "Porn Parody" and, apparently, you can do whatever the hell you want once you make it super clear (we're making it super clear) that this is parody! Meanwhile, indie comix darling Cherry Popstar has been turned into a bored billionaire's personal pet AI, and she has some ideas about how to, like, run the universe!

    If anyone ever played the "Can you make the name of a movie a porn parody name game at a pizza shop after a day of exploring dungeons and slaying dragons this feels like those fond memories turned into an amusingly illustrated adventure, in the best possible way. Read Full Review

    Part of me does want to get back to the simpler times of the weird aliens and situations and some of the exploratory elements of it. I do like the weirdness and fun of the parodies here and the bigger look at corporate control that's unfolding, and some of the other pieces of it as well. But I also want to get more into some of the characters and their issues and encounters and just trawling through a lot of worlds. I'm definitely curious to see what's next with it and am definitely enjoying it as it's not just doing the same thing over and over though I think it could succeed on that front pretty easily too.     Seeley walks a very fine line between tasteful silliness and something altogether more unsavory, but hes doing so in a way that feels like it could really make a statement if he chose to point it in a more definitively satirical direction. Theres a lot that almost gets said in the course of this second issue of the series that could be provocative on a variety of different levels, but Seeley doesnt seem all that interested in the depth that might be possible with the plot that hes working with.
