This series fails to impress because it's not in a hurry to actually give us anything. For some reason the notion of a Viking action/drama is supposed to be enough, but it's simply not. There needs to be a stronger sense of character and plot to really give Northlanders the strength to stand alongside some of its classic Vertigo peers. Read Full Review
Brian Wood may be trying to show diversity in his work by taking on this title, but it just shows how weak he can be as a storyteller. I can't, in good faith, put any more money into this title. Maybe I'll read someone else's copy or wait for a trade, but there's no way this book is worth $2.99. Read Full Review
