Sep 20, 2021Something I appreciate, and may contribute to this seres' popularity, is how different all of the slayers really are that we've met so far. Tanjiro is noble, Zenitsu is a coward but can be extremely powerful, and now we have Inosuke, who seems fairly crazy but makes everything a little more interesting with his hot-headedness. There is someone here for everyone to get behind and root for. There is a bit of a shift in volume four, however. Until this point, the main reason to caution buying this title for younger audiences was the amount of blood and violence against demons. This volume adds creepy spiders and some mildly shocking violence against people. Several other slayers get caught up in the spider webs and have their bones broken from being moved in ways a human body cannot move, and there are quite a few human deaths in this volume.
